His to Her...

Heya.
Today's DIY is a bit special. Till now you all have seen only my clothes being restructured and restyled. But in t0day's post I will show you how your Dad's/Boyfriend's/Husband's/Brother's (D/B/H/B) t-shirt can be yours FOREVER.
Only few simple steps to follow.

1) Compare lengths.
All you need to do is place your t-shirt on D/B/H/B's t-shirt. This way you will be able to ascertain how much fabric has to be chopped.

2) The sleeves...
I wanted a nice 2" plus fold, hence had to consider those inches while cutting the sleeve.
Rather than folding the ends of the sleeve inside, I did the opposite and hand stitched it.
If all this is gibberish then follow the pictures.

Usually the end of the sleeves is stitched like this...

I did this...

On my t-shirt it looks like this...

The best part of t-shirt is its material. It doesn't fray at the ends. So you have a choice, either to leave it stitch free or sew the ends. I left the ends of the sleeve unstitched.

After getting the ideal lengths of the t-shirt and its sleeves, I started off with detailing. Since I wanted a nice breezy t-shirt for summer I didn't bother tucking and altering it at the waist.

I gave button detail to the neckline and sleeves.

At the end of the t-shirt I attached another t-shirts bottom.
Again see the pictures below.

AND after all the changes it looks like this...

And how I wore it???
WAIT FOR IT...

No...actually wait for the next post :P
