Adjusting Lengths...

Till now you have seen on my blog that how I restyle old/worn-couple-of-times-and-now-done-with-that-style kind of clothes. Today on blog is: How to restyle a brand new dress. Well its wasn't brand new as I had worn it on one event But only once so its new to me. Anyway, I bought this one in Jan 2013 and it got restyled in Feb 2013... Am out of control, right?? Why did I restyle it ? Because I hate to know the fact that some girl out there will be having/wearing a similar dress. I want my clothes to be unique. Its a must.

I had bought this one from Mumbai. Its of 109 F brand. I liked their collection. Originally it was a sleeveless, knee-length dress. But after the transformation process is became a mid-thigh length, frilly sleeved dress... It became a bit to short to be dress so now I have to pair it with jeggings/leggings.

Anyway, the transformation process is this:


All I did was:

- Determine the new length of the dress (consider 2 inches for folding the edge to stop it from fraying).
I forgot to do that : )

- Cut the lower part of the dress.

- Detach the frill from the cut fabric.

- Attach the detached frill to the sleeve AND

- Voila!! you got a complete new look there.

    amazing DIY, those sleeves really make it unique. I also hate to wear something that everyone wears that is why I stay out of high street brands I think...or just adjust things:)
